The Jam Master Jay Foundation for Music operates under the premise that every student deserves equal access to the arts. Music, performing and visual arts, and dance should be in every school, in every region of the country, both rural and urban, giving children the opportunity to expand their worlds. Art is challenging, and is often seen as a reflection of our society. What we at the Foundation see is that when a student is sufficiently provided with this essential part of education, he or she feels enriched and able to envision a greater future.
